Are the products safe?

All Friemel products are safe. They are made according to the European standards that apply to the product and are thoroughly checked before they are sent. Do you have doubts about the safety of a product? Feel free to send us a message via the contact form .

How do I maintain the products?

  • The silicone beads can be washed under the tap with cold or lukewarm water. Let the product air dry afterwards. It is not recommended to boil the silicone products. However, the product can be put in the freezer for a while.
  • Wooden rings or bite figures can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Keeping them under water for too long is not recommended, because this can make the wood soft.
  • For fabric products, it is recommended to wash at 30° and allow to dry naturally.

What are Silicones?

Silicone is made from the basic element silicon (pebble) and oxygen or silicon oxide. This is better known as quartz, small particles that are the main component of sand. Quartz is the most abundant mineral on earth and easy to make. It is a sustainable and natural raw material.

Carbon and hydrogen are added to quartz to form long chains of linked silica molecules. The result is silicone. It is a rubbery, unbreakable material that you only get in domestic use by cutting it. The material can withstand falling, bumping, throwing, boiling out, and can be put in the dishwasher, oven or freezer. Watch out for temperatures above 200°C.

Silicone is easily confused with plastic due to the variety of colors available. But plastic needs plasticizers to achieve the same flexibility and that is a harmful substance.

What are the benefits of silicone?

  • Silicone feels soft and smooth. It is unbreakable and can be used over and over again. This makes it a sustainable material with a long service life and therefore less waste.
  • Silicone is inert. In chemistry this means that the material is stable and under normal circumstances does not react with other substances such as food and drink. Under normal circumstances we read: between -80°C and +200°C.
  • Silicone is free of harmful substances such as BPA, plasticizers, PVC, lead or other harmful substances.
  • Silicone is non-porous, making it virtually impossible for bacteria to penetrate.
  • Cleaning is easy: you can wash it, boil it or put it in the dishwasher.
  • For extra relief during teething pain, the material can also be placed in the refrigerator or freezer.

What should I watch out for with silicone?

  • Do not bring silicone into contact with fire.
  • Do not use it with sharp objects.
  • Do not scrub hard with a rough sponge.
  • Do not use above 200°C.

What wood is used in the products?

The wood used is natural and untreated beech wood. Beech wood was chosen because this type of wood is a hardwood that cannot splinter. Wood is a sustainable material with a long lifespan.

How can I order?

You can place an order online via the webshop. Here you will find pre-made items that can be personalized with a name. Are you looking for something different: other color combinations, other products, ...? Ask your question via the contact form. We will contact you to see how we can help.

What is the delivery time?

The delivery time depends on the product. An order in Belgium will always be delivered within a maximum period of 1 week, unless the product is not in stock. In that case, the Buyer will be informed as soon as possible, after which he has the right to cancel the order and the full amount will be refunded to his account.

The delivery time to the Netherlands is a maximum of 2.5 weeks, unless the product is not in stock. The same agreements apply as in Belgium.

Delivery times outside Belgium or the Netherlands cannot be determined, due to factors that are difficult to control. If desired, the Buyer can contact Friemel for this, so that this can be investigated and discussed.

Can I pick up my products?

Yes, it is possible to collect your order by appointment. The pick-up address is Schoolstraat 53, 3960 Gerdingen. Indicate 'pick up order' in your order. Your shipping costs will disappear in no time. Leave in the comment box when you are available to pick up the product. We will contact you afterwards to make an appointment.

What are the payment options?

The webshop uses the secure payment system Shopify Payments. Here you can pay with IDeal, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Paypal or Google Pay.

Where can I enter my discount code?

You can enter a discount code on the first page of your shopping cart.

How much are the shipping costs?

For deliveries within Belgium we charge €7 shipping costs. From an order of €75, these costs do not apply.

For deliveries to the Netherlands we charge €10 shipping costs. From an order of €100, these costs are waived.

For deliveries to France, Germany or Luxembourg we charge €12 shipping costs. In other European countries we charge €20 shipping costs. From an order of €200, these costs are waived.

I ordered and paid online, but I did not receive an order confirmation. What now?

First of all sorry for the inconvenience. Have you already checked your spam or unwanted emails? Sometimes it happens that an order confirmation ends up there. If not, you can contact us via the contact form .

I see in the tracking that my order has been delivered, but I have not received anything. What now?

It is possible that the courier service has delivered the package to your neighbors or has put it away in a safe place around your house (behind a rubbish bin, under the carport, ...). If you have checked this and you have not found your package, please contact us immediately. contact us via the contact form or friemel.shop@hotmail.com. We will then contact the courier service to resolve this.

I already placed an order, can I add something?

We can't guarantee anything, but if you haven't received shipping confirmation yet, it may be possible. Contact us as soon as possible and we will let you know. It may be that an addition is possible, but the total delivery date is postponed as a result. If this is the case, we will also let you know.

Can i cancel my order?

Yes, you have a legal reflection period of 14 days. Please inform us as soon as possible if you want to cancel an order. This can be done via the contact form or friemel.shop@hotmail.com.

Can I exchange or return my order?

You are entitled to a reflection period of 14 days. Within the cooling-off period of 14 days, you may return the purchased products without giving any reason, provided that the purchased product is in good condition. If that is not the case, we reserve the right to refuse this return. You also send an email to Friemel to report the return shipment. The costs of the return shipment are for the buyer.

After correctly receiving a return shipment and if the returned product is in good condition, the full amount of the returned product (s) (without shipping costs) will be refunded to your account within 14 days. Gift cards are non-refundable.
